Who Should Be Obama’s Running Mate?

  • and said:

This election should not be about egos, it should be about what’s best for the Democratic party, and what gives them the biggest chance of winning.

Why Hillary is the best candidate to work with Obama:

1. She has the SECOND HIGHEST SCORE in the Primaries – she lost by very little. This means she can help drive MORE VOTES FOR the DEMOCRATS so that the Democrats can be guaranteed.

2. Complementarity: She’s experienced. He’s not. She’s seen these movies before. She knows how to navigate Washington. He has barely any experience.

3. Do NOT piss of the women. Hillary has an overwhelming number of support from women – who comprise more than HALF

4. PARTY UNITY. We need ALL sides represented. With Hillary and Obama together, they can reach out to a “more complete” constituent base.

5. All the other VP candidates do NOT make sense. What are they supposed to do, be Obama’s puppet? Obama needs someone he can talk to, deliberate with, discuss with who matches (or even is better than) his intelligence.

The fact is this: despite the competition of their speeches, if they are both as smart as we know they are, they will end up liking and respecting each other.

One advice: Obama needs to keep his feisty (crazy) wife out of the Oval Office decisions, as much as Clinton needs to stay out of Hillary’s hair if and when she becomes VP.
