1) Did I have a choice in becoming a student of journalism? 
2) Did you have a choice in the matter of reading this blog? 
3) What’s the big idea here?
Questions 1 and 2 I don’t the answers to because 19 is too young. The answer to the third question is obtainable only because it would take the most parsimonious theory to answer.
The big question here is are you in control of your life?

What’s With All the Art?

Art appreciation can help a journalist understand how the world works, and to an extent, art can help a journalist see the “big idea.” If you’re not an aspiring journalists (or an artist), art still has a purpose in your life.
