“Boston Gears Up for Biggest Bike-Sharing Program“, nytimes Bike-sharing is no longer just a european thing. Many US cities have began seeing bike-sharing as a way to reduce traffic and a clean up the environment.Boston’s efforts are on the large scale but a more grass roots approach are also in effect in places like Portland, ME. Family Man, Colin Beavan , changes everything in his life so he can have little to “no impact” on our environment and they filmed all of it. Check out the trailer.

iPhone Apps Turned Green

Ignorance is no longer bliss

This idea that an iphone app can assist you in being more environmentally responsible is really interesting. How can an application in a smartphone augment your real life? It will be interesting to see how the technology of Augmented reality applications will evolve and how living green will be incorporated into the new technology.

Will our Streets Make Room for us?

It is certain that the population of LA is increasing. Lets assume that the population of LA is supposed to double in the next 50 years what will our streets look like?

Take Santa Monica/ West LA for instance.  On an average day there are 300,000 commuters going to and from this part of the city of angels. If our population increases so dramatically how will LA accommodate the growth? Our streets will change but…
