I happen to bike to my studio ever now and then, and trust me living in Los Angeles does not make it any easier to bike even a few block down. Just out of curiosity I wonder where Los Angeles stands on the chart. PS: I hear you Nathan, we should at least make it to the chart.
Case on Brazil: The death penalty has not been used in Brazil since the
proclamation of the Republic in 1889.
Brazil is a State Party to the Protocol to the American
Convention on Human Rights to Abolish the Death Penalty,
which it ratified on 13th August 1996.
The Brazilian Federal Constitution (1988) expressly
prohibits the use of the death penalty by the penal justice
system. However, the death
penalty may be applicable, according to international law,
in case of declared war, under the terms of Article 84,
paragraph 19, of the Federal Constitution, which states
that the President of the Republic has the exclusive power
to declare war, in the event of foreign aggression,
authorised by the National Congress or confirmed by it…..

A very informative and visually appealing info-graphic!
Excellent info-graphic. Great interactivity and very informative. Love the relative statistics it shows for the data collected in 2005 versus 2006.

Even with the issues that the internet giant had as a company, the numbers clearly indicate Yahoo!’s global dominance. I am a strong supporter of Yahoo!’s mail services from the get go. Of course, Google dominates the global search markets. What is also quite interesting to note are numbers between Microsoft and AOL!
A great layer of information to be included.
This is quite a puzzling info-graphic to decipher. As mentioned by other contributors, a number of questions arise when you look at the chart.
Capital punishment is a legal form of punishment in Singapore. The city-state had the highest per-capita execution rate in the world between 1994 and 1999, estimated by the United Nations to be 13.57 executions per one million population during that period. The next highest was Turkmenistan with 12.43. Source: Wikipedia; Date: May 3, 2009.
