I don’t think it necessarily matters whether or not it happened. I was not at all shocked to read how the story played out. We all need to start placing more scrutiny on the unjust and unequal distribution of power here in the United States. Every single interaction I have ever had with a police officer has left me feeling like my civil rights were not respected whole heartedly. Police need to be educated that they are here to SERVE AND PROTECT, not incarcerate and threaten.
that’s what happens when you liberalize restrictions on the flow of products and capital that can cross a boarder, while conversely tightening the restrictions that allow people to follow that capital.
Water isn’t a “commodity” it is a human right. I appreciate the entertaining aspect of artisan food and beverages but the bottled-water market is just a further commodification of the natural resources that belong to everyone, even if they can’t pay for it. Should “good water” be reserved for the wealthy?
