Bio
Deborah is dedicated to raising awareness and funding for some of the world’s most crucial social, health, and environmental issues. She has worked both in the field and behind the scenes with such organizations as The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, Amazon Watch, Global Green USA, Rainforest2Reef, Surfers for Cetaceans, Habitat for Humanity, The 11th Hour Action Team, Orangutan Outreach, Conservation International, The Heart of Yoga Association and Channel G. A graduate of The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, Deborah is fluent in French and Spanish. Her professional background and life experience lend a deep appreciation for the protection of critically endangered species and habitat as well as the preservation of indigenous rights. She currently resides in the Los Angles area where she works as a Freelance journalist and Non profit consultant. She is the contributing editor at Sea Voices, a project dedicated to highlighting the work of leading ocean advocates around the world and sits on the Board of Advisors of The Blue Seals, a direct action marine conservation organization.
