The Anti-Consumers

On a more serious note, I suppose if I was being a bit of a protagonist, I could propose that some of the ecologically concious and anti-consumerist actions that people have started taking may have directly impacted on the economy and contributed to the current ‘downturn’, for want of a better, more descriptive phrase.  Of course I’d argue against that by stating that if the economy is reliant on the wasteful practices so prevalent in many of our societies that it’s a false economy (i.e. not very economical) and not one that we should support.  I’m sure this is a discussion that’s been had before though, so please feel free to fill me in on how it typically advances.  Thanks. dp

it’s this thing you can use to line your shower curtain.  It’s quite tough, a bit heavier than a shower curtain, and sometimes even has posh techno properties like anti-mildew action etc.  I think their generally beige; you can’t get them translucent with fish on them or anything, that’s for your shower curtain.  There, how’s that for a first post?
