frustrated artist working in the corporate world. photography and design are my favorite - especially packaging design and paper goods. i'm trying to hone my skills in photography - i love the "cinematic" and photojournalist style. i have a master's degree in psychology and i find it very useful in my professional and personal life. not only because it helps me analyze situations and people better but it actually helps me stay more non-judgemental. i like playing with bubble wrap and peeling the shells of hard boiled eggs.jkandjc’s website:

this seems pretentious even though i do indeed understand the desire for ”better” water….but it makes me wonder if anyone here has ever known what it’s like to be dirt poor or underprivelaged…..if they have, maybe they have forgotten where they came from…..who knows, i have no clue. at least most of us in the united states aren’t drinking mud water or bathing in what is basically sewage (i.e., 3rd world countries).like many people have implied, let’s work on getting clean tap water for everyone first.
first of all, i don’t know much. hahaa
so what i say here hopefully doesn’t come across as judgemental but just as some thoughts and musings…..second, i understand the artistic intention here but it IS a pretentious topic…..i mean, more than half the world does not have clean water to drink, let alone even bathe or wash with and here we are talking about actual choices of water as if there was anything beyond just the choice of ”clean.” in addition, how is this helping conservation efforts? is it suggesting that using fancy glass bottles instead of plastic is better and more reuseable? third, i’m just as “guilty……” haha….i understand the artistic passion – for example, i always appreciate good packaging design and good food and drink - it draws me in and these little things can change your day around! but these things are never necessary, they just make you bit happier, momentarily. it feels like a privelaged life in comparison to most of the world.katrina, larryp, and everyone else have great points – it’s ironic and like a paradox – “boutique” water….understandable but somewhere deep inside me, i’m like “WTF??”
in any case, i think balance is best…..unless of course you have some sort of (medical) condition where you can’t eat meat (i.e., kidney conditions?).
