- I live in my native Bay Area where I am a writer, educator and immigrant rights advocate. I work with various agencies in Oakland to support newcomer youth and parents to access the educational services they need during their transition to life in the U.S. I have taught in Vermont, Boston and the Bay Area, as well as in Uganda and El Salvador. As a recent MFA graduate of Vermont College of Fine Arts, I believe in writing as a tool for healing, learning and growth.
