In the 4,000-square-mile metropolis that is Los Angeles, the often-mythologized freeway system may seem like the city’s only connecting fabric. It isn’t, though. There’s a functioning and widely utilized public bus system, young but improving light rail lines, and a burgeoning bicycling community. i love this!
another thing you can do, is re-use the inevitable food packaging that you don’t necessarily have to throw out. you can clean and re-use glass spaghetti sauce jars to store leftovers. you can cut old milk cartons and use it to store used cooking oil.
if you have an enormous costco-sized cereal box & newspapers, it’s the perfect way to wrap a birthday present of any size.
