Rebeccazdftwzorg is a President of the nonprofit, Domes for the World living in Salt Lake City.
I run a small nonprofit which endeavors to build safe, sanitary, sustainable housing in emerging countries for victims of natural disaster and poverty.rebeccazdftwzorg’s website:

The Monolithic Dome Institute has been building and renting small Monolithic Domes Housing Units for a decade. They are commercially viable because of the low cost of construction, maintenance and HVAC. They’re fire-proof AND they provide “near-absolute protection” as defined by FEMA during natural disasters. The business plan is here if you want to look at it. Now they have developed a way to pre-fab the small domes and ship them. I think it’s very cool, but then again, it’s my Dad’s ideas. Rebecca South, President, Domes For The World
I did not intend to post that anonymously. Does anyone else have trouble with this site logging you out using Safari? My father was inspired by Mr. Fuller in the late 60’s. In the 70’s he patented the Monolithic Dome. Now there are thousands of Monolithic Domes all over the world. All of which are disaster-resistant, cost effective and save up to 75% of HVAC energy consumption. Dad also dreamed up the “EcoShell” which is a very inexpensive way to build thin-shell concrete domes by hand. They are uninsulated, but are perfect for housing in emerging countries with tropical or temperate climates. I love that “Good” is giving “Bucky” props. Rebecca South, President, Domes for the World
I just wish he would’ve recommended a few to try.
