God, Without the Fuss

God, Without the Fuss

  • and said:

Osteen is preaching a dangerous gospel. His message is self-centered and encourages his followers to be self-centered.

He gives it away with this quote: “the people’s lives we’ve helped change through God.”

God uses men to affect change. Not the other way around. I was once involved in this self-help, prosperity gospel, and believe me, you don’t understand the dangers of it until you’ve been in it. Because one day, when God doesn’t answer your prayer for a parking spot or a new car or whatever, you will start to question your faith or whether God even exists. When the truth is, your plan and His may not be the same. This can lead to some serious problems beginning with depression.

All of that so he can have a $13 million book deal.
