Every idea has some amount of merit in it, but I don't think this one is realistic. You could use the same amount of material to make a traditional wind turbine and probably generate far more electricity. Nice graphic though. How about we install treadmills in the roads near intersections. As you approach a red light just slam on your brakes and the treadmill will convert your car's remaining inertia into electricity.Seriously though, the only solution to our transportation crisis is to get our fat butts out of our trucks and into/onto a bus/train/bike/bigwheel/sidewalk.

I don't think that's quite how 'supply and demand' works in the food industry. If it did then we'd all be paying top dollar for buffalo steaks.

I'm not against a tax that would actually deter people from eating/drinking unhealthy foods, but $0.03 isn't going to do anything but generate revenue for uncle sam. Sin taxes are the oldest trick in the gov't's book. There has got to be somebody out there with an innovative, creative way to fix the healthcare system.

I have to ask the questions: Does it really matter if global warming exists or not? If global warming does exist, does it really matter exactly what pollutant causes it? Shouldn't we be responsible enough to minimize our effect on the environment BEFORE some catastrophe presents itself?

The tip to inflate your tires to the maximum pressure on the sidewall is wrong and dangerous. Do not do this. Never inflate your tires above what is written on the door jamb. This pressure will maximize tire-life, handling, mileage, and minimize braking distance. Believe it or not, but the people who designed and built your car are aware of the fact that tires loose air over time and have factored this into the specified pressure.
