First I am considering protesting in an area close to hiking trails and where there seems to not be much wildlife left and hunters are shooting. Not sure about my next step yet to expose more folks to the beauty of nature.

I am very passionate about all of nature and help my grandchildren and other kids understand and explore nature but I am afraid nature is losing the battle against mankind and I have some ideas to help save wildlife and nature but it seems difficult to get anyone to pay attention. I could use some advice.

I only knew my Grandmothers through stories as they were both murdered in Aushwitz in 1944. What they did do was instill two wonderful parents, both survivors of the Holocaust at young ages, who knew the importance of family, knew the importance of living in joy, and the importance of social justice. Although they have both died, I believe that all of their memories are of a blessing for the generations.

I hope you share that with the exhibit. I think it's a story definitely worth telling.

I included a story about my grandmother, who taught me how to love and respect the planet, raise veggies, compost and plant trees. These lessons were very valuable to me when the Great Recession hit. I also enjoyed teaching my children the same lessons.

Any lessons passed down through generations are so important to document. Glad you added your story. I am inspired now to learn skills from my mother, who is a fantastic gardener.

I included my story about my grandmother, who was a social worker till the day she died. She inspired a legacy of social workers in my family and although activism was her job, I consider her simple story to be impactful.

Great Project by Genesis. On the note of Grandmother Power and stories, I cannot use your system because its for telling the story of one particular grandmother. My story is the story of the 13 grandmothers that assembled at Menla Mtn one Fall day in 2004. I was able to be a videographer for the event a gathering of 13 grandmothers. What came from the event was a powerful documentary called For The Next Seven Generations. I encourage all who read this post to find out about the 13 grandmothers and encourage Genesis and Grandmother Power Traveling Exhibit to include there story.

      Hi Bruce,
Thank you for posting these links.
The International Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers is, indeed, included both in the book GRANDMOTHER POWER and in the exhibit.
There are links to some of their videos (including the trailer for the film about them) on the GRANDMOTHER POWER project website at... http://www.globalgrandmotherpower.com/book_US.html

Great to Hear! I have no Grandmothers alive today and glad you are doing this project to bring such voices for the younger generation to hear! Regards

Bruce it's amazing to hear the voices of all these grandmothers. I say you still submit it. The name could be "13 Grandmothers at Menla Mtn". I also let Paola know so that she will consider it.
