I have several favorites, but Paprika is one. It's used for collecting and using recipes. It has a lot of time-saving features, and is very easy to use.

Another is Voice Dream Reader, which is used to read text documents, ebooks, etc aloud. Great while walking, driving, or for people with vision problems. I email links to web pages to Pocket, and Voice Dream grabs them from Pocket. Wonderful app!

Such a great list! Thanks for sharing. I'm curious to check out Paprika. What are your favorite features about it?

If you enjoy cooking apps, you might also like Mark Bittman's "How to Cook" apps. It's really simple to use, and has a great stock of recipes.

Paprika is very different from Mark Bittman's, in that this one does not provide recipes, but is a place to store recipes that I create or collect.
        Some of my favorite features:
For a large number of websites, I can click one button to save the entire recipe in the app. For any other website, I can tell it where the title, ingredients, and directions are, and it will save the recipe.
I can set up categories of my choice, and put a recipe into any one or more categories for easy organization.
When I plan the menus for the week, with the tap of a button, it will create a grocery list for me.
I can search by partial recipe name, or one or more ingredients.

          That's awesome!

Yes, Paprika and Mark Bittman's apps are pretty different in terms of functionality. Just thought you might enjoy another food related app.

I like self-improvement apps. Like Meditation or Fitness apps, like Fitness Pal. They can hold me accountable by alerting me. Then, there are fun apps that are purely for enjoyment- like Pandora, Huffington Post, KCRW, or even just those sound apps like POW where you hold your phone in your hand, pretend to punch someone and it makes a Ka-pow sound- totally ridiculous but fun.
