Day 29: Today I share with you my new favorite app, which embodies everything I wish for my 100 Helpful Days project. Do you ever sign on Facebook or Instagram and start to feel ... bad? The snarky e-cards, the passive-aggressive comments. They're everywhere, right? Well, two Canadians just launched an app called Posi to fix that. On Posi, users can share positive images and messages with friends (and there’s no ability to leave comments, which prevents snarky remarks). Plus, you don't "follow" people; you "get inspired by" them!

Posi has already been downloaded 3,500 times in 35 countries. Co-founders Jason Berard and Braden Pyper created Posi to combat social media negativity, to create a “positive sanctuary on our phones."

“Social media is not about self-promotion and negativity," Berard said. “People are starting to perceive social media as a negative thing, when it’s a really important tool for connection now.” Join me on Posi now! (My username? Kirsten.)

Oops! Nice pic, but it’s just not our (file) type. Please try uploading a .jpg or .png image.

Well, this is embarrassing. Something went wrong when posting your comment. Care to try again?
