A Film About the 'True Cost' of our Clothing

Andrew Morgan

While the price of clothing has been decreasing for decades, human rights and environmental costs have grown dramatically. Help us make this film to make those costs vividly clear as we explore how we got here, the damage being done, and the hope filled prospect of choosing a different future.

We have taken a first step in creating a teaser and building a growing team of experts around the world. Check out our Kickstarter and trailer at the link below!

The film will feature interviews with top industry leaders from the international clothing industry, illuminating this complex dilemma. In addition to these professionals, the audience will get to see the human side of the issue as we take cameras around the world to capture the lives of the people affected by these issues every day.

This really seems like an important and fascinating story to tell. Best of luck with the kickstarter.

There was a small article in the most recent issue of GOOD Magazine suggesting additional information on garment labeling that speaks the conditions where an item was made or who made it. Seeing your project really makes me feel how important even small steps like that could be in helping figure out how to get to a very different place than we are right now with the world's manufacturing systems.
