The act of fixing helps people understand their things. It not only fosters a sustainable environment and is economically sound, it promotes independence, self-taught knowledge, and confidence.

But fixing has been historically left to the boys.

Too many women, like myself, rely on men to fix their things—whether it be a broken phone or leaky faucet. However, fixing shouldn't be reserved for a select few, or for a particular gender.

It should be for everyone.

So no matter your gender—stop relying. Go out and fix something.
