A documentary 13 years in the making, http://www.good.is/posts/documentary-american-promise-follows-k-12-school-experience-of-two-black-boys follows the journeys of two African-American boys and their families from kindergarten to high school graduation and provides a powerful narrative about the lives of African-American boys and their families, as well as an incisive look at the factors that contribute to the achievement gap in education for black males.

The American Promise story is the centerpiece of a national campaign to advance the success of black boys. This documentary represents a powerful opportunity to lift up the message around black male achievement and put forth an important and powerful narrative about black boys, their families and communities.

Thanks for sharing this, Cresenda. I just signed it. You can also post this as something to do here on GOOD. Just go to the yellow "post" button at the top of the page, click it, choose something to "do" and then fill out all the info/write a little description for it. Great to hear your passion, Cresenda. If you are really involved in that movement, feel free to share that in the About Me section of your profile, then add your website to the section of your profile designated for a website (it is the third field, next to the Twitter symbol- however you can only include one website). That way, people can click to your site and learn more about your efforts. As it is on your profile now, your site links can't be clicked through. Let us know if you have any tech support questions at beta[at]goodinc[dot]com.
