45 years ago today, April 4th, 1968, MLK Jr. was assassinated. His Sermon on Gandhi, given March 22, 1959 at Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama, is an inspiring and relevant reminder not just of Gandhi's legacy and ongoing influence, but of King's as well:

“God grant that we shall choose the high way. Even if it will mean assassination, even if it will mean crucifixion, for by going this way we will discover that death will be only the beginning of our influence."
