Stand With 30,000 Hunger-Striking California Inmates for Improved Prison Conditions

Zachary Slobig

This week 30,000 inmates throughout California refused their meals—the beginnings of the largest hunger strike in the state's history. What can you do? The same applies here: we deplore human rights violations in other countries while perpetrating them ourselves. We have to stop.

Here's some text you could cut and past when emailing the Governor: I support California's inmates in their call for better conditions, an end to chronic overcrowding, and stopping the inhumane use of solitary confinement in prisons. California's inmates deserve better.
