Love all of this - this project, the social gratitude journal, how inspired you all are. I've also recently started incorporating "I appreciate you ____" into my vocabulary, and it's amazing how it's changed the quality of my relationships.

I couldn't agree more! Sending hard copy cards to say 'thank you' or 'I appreciate you' delivers lots of bang for the buck—even the quickest, simplest missive is a treat for both sender and receiver.

We'd be so grateful if all of you practiced gratitude on 1THING (www.1thingapp.com) - a social gratitude journal that also features daily illustrations of shared gratitude.

I'm going to peg it to my birthday each year- I'm going to set aside time to call all the people who are gifts in my life.

Something simple and fairly easy, but with a big return. I think I'll write a "Thank You" card for a month to a different person each day.

This is a great idea. I've been doing this, not once a month but randomly. Giving homemade cards to people like a coworker who let me interview them for a project or a friend's mom who bought my roommates and me a case of wine, is so easy and they're often surprised because nobody gives out cards anymore. Plus it motivates me to craft more.

great idea! I'm going to start by doing a "thank you" email as a baby step
