Rodrigo Mejia

Buffalo, NY

"I grabbed her arm and I put her arm around her and I said, 'Do you want to come on this side of the guardrail?,'" said Barton. The woman, holding onto Barton, climbed over the rail and sat down with him. He asked her questions and held her while an ambulance arrived.
"I wanted to convey that whatever it was, I...we're going to help you through whatever it is," he said.

When he let go, and the woman was carted off, Barton got back into his bus and quietly finished his route.
