Nigerian photographer Andrew Esiebo is fascinated by barbershops and the intimacy they create.

“The barbershop is an intimate space where people come to discuss what they cannot speak about in their homes or in public, including politics and even their lovers,” he said. “It’s one of the few spaces where people from different walks of life, from different classes, mix.”

    These are beautiful. I had my hair braided in a Ghanaian salon and it was one of the funnest experiences I had. I was there for four hours and I wasn't bored one second of it. The conversations we had were rich and hilarious.
