If so, you're one of over 308 million people whose race and ethnicity University of Virginia researcher Dustin Cable plotted in a map that reveals how segregated America still is. As Cable told Al Jazeera. "Even if segregation is better then what it was, it doesn't mean we no longer have to worry about it."

    Is it segregation that is causing perhaps differences in cost of living or is it costs of living making segregation possible? Interesting to think about. The zoom in on Detroit is particularly eye-opening. I was thinking about the gates that were put up in South LA around residences on Venice Blvd, and I realized that gated communities only fuel this segregation.
