Hospital meals should be the idealistic wholesome diet. But it's far, very far from that! Hospital meals mimic our typical american meal which is mostly a heated meal consisting of 1/2 meat, 1/4 processed vegetables and 1/4 refined starch with a sugary drink. This diet translates to nutrition deprivation. Hospitals meals need to be the model of proper nutrition for their patients, who most likely have found themselves in the hospital as a result of their eating habits.
