Photographer Donald Weber gives us a modern look into Northern Iraq after the War in this essay of vibrant, exciting new images. Weber spent the last ten years in the Middle East and was able to capture a nation amidst some radical changes: as Hannah Levintova describes, "[A] community... grappling with the growing pains of nation building, the balance of tradition and modernity, and the knowledge that violence—part scourge, part enabler of their prosperity—is always uncomfortably possible."
