A Shipping Container Home That Doesn't Look Like a Shipping Container

Shipping container architecture is everywhere—in part because shipping containers themselves are everywhere. When it costs more to ship an empty container back than to throw it away, it makes sense to think of a new use for the materials. Homes aren't necessarily always the answer, since containers are small, and sometimes it can take less energy and resources just to build a new home from scratch. But this design is spacious, and has several other sustainable features, like solar power.
