Art Scientist Uses DNA Coding to Generate Portraits from Trash

"Art scientist" Heather Dewey-Hagborg, PHD in Information Art, has been collecting modern day human artifacts (abandoned cigarette butts, hair strands, gum) and processing their DNA and translating her results through code programmed herself. In the end, a portrait of a human face is generated and we have a view of the artifacts' original owner.
