Back to School: More Learning Resources #30DaysofGOOD

We've made it to the end of this month's 30 Days of GOOD challenge. Here are some ideas for continuing your "always learning" habit.

30 Days of GOOD (#30DaysofGOOD) is our monthly attempt to live better. This month we're going "Back to School" and committing to learn something new every day.

Hear that? It's the school bell signaling we've made it to the end of this month's 30 Days of GOOD challenge. I hope you've enjoyed participating in the Back to School series, and that you've learned some useful things along the way.

We've organized the Back to School posts so that you can simply visit this index page whenever you want to track down any of the learning websites or tools we discussed this month. It's also the best place to go for anyone who wants to tackle the entire challenge on their own in the future.

If you're interested in continuing your "always learning" habit even after we close the chapter here, there are plenty of places to go for help. Several top universities offer OpenCourseWare, free-of-cost class materials available to anyone via the Internet. Visit MIT, Tufts, and UC Berkeley online to learn more.

Then there's the new class of tech-centric companies and nonprofits using the web in innovative ways to bring people together to study and learn. We talked about the Khan Academy earlier in the series; also worth checking out is TED-Ed (TED's educational video platform for students and educators) and Peer to Peer University (an “online book club for open educational resources").

Finally, be sure to stay on top of the latest news and trends in education by continuing to read GOOD. Education editor Liz Dwyer covers the people and groups working to make learning more relevant and engaging.

Join me back here on Tuesday (after the long weekend), when I'll kick off September's 30 Days of GOOD challenge. The theme will be "Digital Makeover," and we'll focus on improving how we use our digital tools, and achieving a more healthy relationship with technology. See you then!
