    It's great to see it going up but also slowing to a stop coming down. Reminds me that Elisha Otis's great invention in elevator design was not a lifting machine but brakes -- safety brakes that really worked.

    this is awesome! I use a wheelchair and when my dad built a treehouse for my little brother as a kid...he was so insisting that my dad build an elevator with a pulley so that I could get up there. Super cute, I was already grown but HELL yeah I would totally hang out in his tree house anyway if they made an elevator!
