This is great! I made a bunch of videos to teach beginners how to start and maintain their a garden with a company called Maxfields www.youtube.com/maxfieldsorganics. I love that the nourishmat gives you a road map and makes growing your own food less daunting. You're right, Phil. It starts with the soil. When growing food, make sure you're using the most healhty, nutritious soil!

It starts with community then soil. I would like to see a Nourishmat in every school and in areas where nutrition is last on anyones priority list. Let's make a big push to nourish neighborhoods. http://kck.st/17tFbjz

It's great you have rewards for schools. I may donate one to my mom's school!

We're on the move (literally) with out Nourishmat on wheels in San Francisco.

I've had an urban garden and now a small traditional "victory garden". I'd be open to buying and supporting if the entry cost was comparable to DIY.

It is actually cheaper than a DIY garden, especially if you are trying to source all of the same plants, irrigation system and time spent researching. For people who already engage in traditional gardening it may not be for your, but perfect for people who lack time, space and knowledge about where to start and a great educational tool for youth. Thanks for the feedback.
