The psychology of branding is fascinating. You know you're getting a certain level of quality based on the brand. Or- you're getting an experience. Sometimes the brand is really just about offering you a better discount. What do you think it was about Banksy's display that made people undervalue it? The fact it wasn't on a wall- and it was being sold in a kiosk? The kiosk itself to me, cheapened the experience of discovering his work. So really, the environment/space in which a company sells something is extremely important.
