Chinese Students Built This Bamboo "City in the Sky"

Over three months of weekends, a group of children in Wuhan, China, helped design and build this experimental 'city' made of wood and live bamboo (my favorite quote: one of the architects involved texted another to ask "Did you water the house?"). The architects leading the project wanted to help move the field away from concrete and steel and back to natural materials—and to help kids have a chance to do something outside of their strict exam-prep education.

    That's an interesting design experiment. I'm wondering though, what happens when some bamboo grows slower than others!
