Cost Of Diapers Burdening Lower Income Families

A new study published in the medical journal Pediatrics asserts that a "substantial" number of low-income families in the U.S. can't afford diapers for their kids. The study linked high stress levels in mothers with the inability to provide a basic need for children that can take up more than 6 percent of the income for a single mother working a minimum-wage job. There's an upside, however: a slew of non-profits have stepped in to provide free diapers to those in need.
