Crowdsourcing History: How Citizen Historians are Gathering Soldiers' Stories from World War I

Kasia Kovacs

Operation War Diary is a collaborative project encouraging people who have access to the diaries of soldiers from the First World War to digitize and gather these records into an online space. The website is curated by the British National Archives, and calls contributors "citizen historians." The Archives have been posted online in time for the war's centenary, and anyone is welcome to read them.
