Great article Nicole! I would like to know the same question Alessandra asked. How do you create a creative and game- like culture with Yoga? It sounds very interesting.

Thanks! We use a ton actually, all of our classes are centered around storytelling - we leverage a narrative and have the kids contribute and actually craft the flow of the class themselves so they're put in the primary storytelling role but since the teacher moderates, it doesn't feel pressured. For example, I just wrapped up a class on Halloween and we talked about being scared, and what we can do to not be scared anymore. Some people said yell, stand up tall, take deep breaths, etc. We learned poses based off of that. It can also be more imaginative; a kindergarten class of ours traveled the world and learned all these different poses to help get us there, sailing, boat, surfing, driving, train, etc.

That is awesome! Looking forward to seeing more of this.

Hey Nicole- I'd love to know what specific activities you do within the yoga practice to engage in creativity. What types of games do you use?
