Rahil Al-Marzouki defends the rights of children who belong to the Muhamasheen –– a marginalized group distinguished by their African ancestry and called "servants" in Yemen. She is a strong proponent of their education. “I get so depressed when I see Muhamasheen children collecting bottles in the street for their living. They are deprived of their right to study,” she says. An aspiring lawyer, Rahil also advocates for sexually exploited children and those forced into child marriage.
