Empty Storefront Becomes a City Coat Check

Groningen is a large university city in the North of the Netherlands, where customers often leave coats and other belongings in one bar as they continue their evening. But as they retrace their steps, many forget where their items are being held, with an estimated loss of 8,000 coats each year.

To ease anxiety and the number of lost coats, StadsGarderobe, opened up to allow a safe, central location for anyone to leave their coat and belongings, while they shop, dine and enjoy the nightlife.
