Anyone who read "The Diamond Age" will remember the Young Lady's Illustrated Primer, an interactive book that changed the lives of underprivileged kids without adult intervention. Now it's happening for real in Ethiopia using OLPC's tablet computers: unsupervised kids have taught themselves to read and to hack their own computers.
