This is beautifully written, Joe. Glad to be introduced to your blog. It's pretty wonderful what foods are naturally available to us. It's a shame not everyone is as informed as you about how safe some food is to eat. I met a naturalist once and he taught me a lot about certain wildflowers you could eat- and they just seemed like weeds. Wondering what other awesome things we can eat that may seem poisonous at first glance.
