How do folks afford this? Seriously - it's got great value, but...oh my, out of reach.

Financial aid and scholarships are available! I just got back from a dog sledding & skiing course at the Voyageur Outward Bound school - life changing!

This is so cool. Outward Bound could easily say "This is really about giving people the outdoor and technical skills they need to survive." But instead it's a different kind of education. It nice to see programs prioritizing what others see as intangible learnings; worth ethic, character, collaboration, reflection, and going beyond their limits. These are skills that would be great on a report card, but aren't often taught because there's still a lot needed in perfecting the cognitive channels in school and they become the priority. Glad to see that there are opportunities here - I want to participate! Again, really cool.

This should be required gen ed for a high school diploma!

My son is in this video, which was filmed during his 50 day Outward Bound expedition. Yes, this type of learning should be required in high school. But when we went to the district asking for just one elective credit we were told no. Unbelievable.

It is frustrating; however, please know that Outward Bound continues to actively pursue obtaining college credit for it’s program offerings by developing educational partnerships with universities and colleges.
