How a Pop-Up University Brought a Vermont Town Together

It's not often that a new university opens in rural Vermont, but that's what happened this spring in the tiny town of Bethel. A pop-up university, that is.

For the month of March, any resident or business could offer a free mini-course on a topic they loved, and anyone else could sign up to take courses.

The result was far more than a rich learning experience - it brought the community together and sparked a sense of energy that has been missing from this town for decades.
