How One Woman Helped Save Eritrean Refugees from Her Kitchen in Sweden

Mary Slosson

Meron Estefanos is a journalist and human rights advocate in Sweden. This is the story of how, in 2011, she learned that Eritrean refugees were being held hostage in the Sinai desert. She was given a phone number to contact one of the refugees, and a long journey began when she made that first call.

Meron is collecting donations to help the families of Eritrean hostages in Sinai. To donate, go to PayPal.com and transfer to the account soscare@yahoo.com.
