It's a diverse world so why do so many panels and conferences only have white men? Sarah Milstein wanted a diverse lineup for her Lean Startup Conference, and she outlines "nine key steps we’ve taken to reduce bias in our selection cycle, convince people we’re serious and thus draw a more diverse group of outstanding speakers." Milstein says these steps "apply to almost any gated decision with a pipeline of applicants, including hiring, venture capital funding, school admissions, and awards."
