Thanks for sharing this, Michelle. I was just talking to my 7th grade son last night about AP classes and exams, and how tracking in schools will either funnel him toward or away from those classes depending on the grades he gets right now--which is crazy for a 13-year-old to even grasp.

The suggestion on this infographic to engage high school principals and directly ask them "How many black students at your school demonstrated AP potential on the 2013 PSAT/NMSQT" and "How is your school helping those students to enroll in AP classes in 2014," is so great. We have to demand REAL answers to those questions, not just platitudes. Are you all developing any tools for parents to decipher the rhetoric that often passes as a response to these kinds of questions?

We are actually working on that now! And we have a google hangout with the College Board on Monday to unpack this question further.

      Thanks Liz!

So glad to hear it, Joe. I'd love to check that hangout out!
