Meet the Woman Who Helped Shut Down Chicago's Coal Plants

When Kimberly Wasserman was 21, her infant son suffered his first asthma attack. They lived in a working-class neighborhood near one of Chicago's polluting coal power plants, and as Wasserman learned more about what that meant for health, she started organizing the community. Last year, after more than a decade of work, the plants were shut down. Wasserman just won the Goldman Environmental Prize.
