No Need to Make School Days Longer, We Can Get Better Results With Lower Class Sizes

Plenty of education reformers say that in order to get kids on track academically we need to make school days (and school years) longer. In New York City, a pilot program will extend the school day at 20 middle schools. But research doesn't show that extending the school day actually improves student outcomes. What does work? Lowering class size.
