    This is wonderful, thank you for sharing! I agree with Maria, transparency is hugely important in the non-profit world and I'm glad to see more and more organizations jumping on board. As we become a more social-impact-minded society, it's good to know that companies like GuideStar exist.

    Genius! Transparency is so key for growth of this sector. It also sets up them up for leading the way on how to report on impact.

      Absolutely! There's also a really interesting dynamic that starts to happen when you do earnings/performance calls in a mission-based context. I thought this excerpt from the article was especially exciting:

      "Last year, when Latin American crops were affected by coffee leaf rust disease, Root Capital’s April fourth quarter call projected losses of 70 percent of coffee production, which would significantly reduce the group’s lending — a number that looked like they were sitting on investor money. But the Skoll Foundation, an organization that invests in social causes, was on the call and heard the challenge. It decided to provide seed funding to Root Capital for an initiative to help farmers plant disease-resistant coffee."
