This op-ed asks us to rethink food relief during Tu B'Shevat (the Jewish New Year for Trees) and all year long. It includes suggestions for individuals and congregations of all faith traditions to appropriately respond to hunger in our communities beyond canned food donations (e.g. fresh produce donations, fruit tree and garden installations, monetary support, etc).
